If you are anything like me, you and your significant other have lots of inside jokes. Things that might seem silly and goofy to others, but it’s fun for you. My friend and her husband like silly things just like we do. One day she signed her email to me “Fu-fump, Fu-fump, Fu-fump” and explained that it was three kinds of hearts (friendship heart, alien heart, and monster heart.) For whatever reason this just made me laugh and laugh. It was so visual for me and it got my brain doing somersaults. When it was time for her birthday, I knew I had to turn it into clay.
It was a fun challenge to figure out how to make all the hearts different and look like they belonged together. I also really liked the way the word banners turned out. I think I’ll be doing more of those on future projects.
This little wall hanging is about 12″ across. It’s made from polymer clay and colored with embedded mica powders and them mounted on painted board.
