Flowers, Lizards, and the Neighbor’s Cat
This morning we walked to the local coffee shop for our weekly cup of joe. There were some really pretty flowers out as well as our neighbor’s cat, Prudence.
Here is Prudence. She is one of those expensive Munchkin cats with the little short legs. She reminds me of Godiva. She is small and sweet and always runs out to get petted unless it’s raining. Neighbor #1 bought her for a pretty penny. Apparently, even expensive cats will still pee all over your shit. Seems like she also screamed to get out a lot. So, they asked neighbor #2 if they wanted her. Maybe they were moving. Anyway, the neighbor adopted her and she lives happily, mostly outside. I like to say she is my cat that lives at someone else’s house. A great way to own a cat.
I went to see my dad recently. We were riding the golf cart around the course and as we went across this bridge he found two lizards facing off. The lizards in Texas are a little different. Notably, there is a dark spot close to their eyes. I got pretty close.
This photo shows how close I was. I was snapping the photo and he ran towards me and ruined the shot. Stupid lizard.
…Love the “humps” on those lizards’ heads!
Great pix! I never did get to see those lizards. Thanks for posting. 🙂
