I have been making headache oil for my headaches/migraines for a while now. I used to make it as a paste, but it was never the texture I liked. Eventually, I discovered making an oil and I like that much better. You can get the recipe for my headache oil here or the allergy oils here.

But, then I needed a better container and thought to use those roller-ball containers. You know, the ones that had lip gloss in them in the 80s and came in flavors like strawberry and peach — the ones that made your lips look like you just ate a bucket of fried chicken? It was really only a short trip for me to think, “Hey! I could make these purdy!” So, I did. I used lots of translucent polymer clay and metal leaf and created some fun patterns. I created very thin sheets of translucent clay to cover the clear glass bottles.

The one lone container in the back is a small glass container that I keep my small art brushes in. I had some leftover clay and didn’t want to waste it.

These are so pretty! Love the flecks of silver and gold in them. Since they’re sort of translucent I bet they’ll look even cooler with the oil in them.

Well, actually, they look about the same with oil in them. But, you can see the little bubble of air when you flip them over moving around. (:

Oh, WOW! … those are beautiful and uber cool!!!

You sure did make them purdy!!!

When you told me you were going to put polymer clay on them, I was thinking a chunkier, thicker application … like little flowers … or something. Never did I imagine anything like this. They are fabulous!!! :0)

      Thank you!

It’s super thin clay. You an literally read through it. Maybe not very well – but it is thin. (:
